UAE President gives the go-ahead for a fully furnished field hospital to be established in Gaza

In order to provide Palestinians with critical medical care, a complete Emirati field hospital is set to be created in the Gaza Strip per the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The project is a component of the humanitarian effort known as “Gallant Knight 3,” which Sheikh Mohamed gave the go-ahead for on Sunday.

Before being moved to the Gaza Strip, the cargo is scheduled to be unloaded at Egypt’s Al-Arish Airport.

150 beds will be available at the field hospital, which will be built in phases. It will include intensive care units that can accommodate both adult and pediatric patients, as well as departments for gynecology, orthopaedics, pediatrics, and general surgery.

Family practice, internal medicine, dentistry, and psychiatry clinics will also be housed in the building. CT imaging, a lab, a pharmacy, and other medical support services are examples of supplemental services.

Given the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are now facing, the effort is a reflection of the UAE’s longstanding support and solidarity with them.

Previous announcements from the UAE included the delivery of $20 million in immediate help to the Palestinian people as well as a plan to transport some 1,000 Palestinian youngsters from the Gaza Strip, together with their families, to UAE hospitals for medical care.
