UAE National Day: 4,800 light installations make Abu Dhabi sparkle.

Khaleej times

In honor of the 52nd UAE National Day, Abu Dhabi City Municipality has decorated the streets with 4,800 illuminated geometric patterns. The program promotes harmony and fosters a joyous environment for locals and Emiratis alike.

The geometric shapes, which are installed all across Abu Dhabi Island and its surrounding areas, adorn important places like Abu Dhabi Corniche Street and major thoroughfares including Sheikh Zayed Street, Airport Street, and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. During National Day celebrations, the varied yet harmonious patterns symbolize the passion and enthusiasm of the country.

There are 1,500 shapes that form the number ’52’ in honor of the Union’s anniversary, 120 3D shapes that are at ground level and 120 3D shapes that ascend, and 320 lighting strings that hang down the streets like curtains of light.

Festive inscriptions such as “The flag has lived, oh our Emirates!” and “Long live the unity of our Emirates lives” are proudly displayed by the geometric shapes. Along with other sayings that encapsulate the spirit of this historic occasion, slogans like “Long Live My Country,” “Our Power is Our Honour,” “Our Safe Land,” and “We Shall Protect You with Our Souls, My Country” also ring true.
