UAE: Many Foreign Visitors are Clamoring to See the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi

The leader of the temple project stated in the UAE that since the historic BAPS Hindu Mandir opened to the public on February 18, there has been an enormous demand from tourists, including those from overseas.

The public can visit the site starting on February 18, while the much-anticipated pink sandstone temple’s inauguration is scheduled for February 14.

The temple is anticipated to draw a sizable number of tourists from inside and outside the United Arab Emirates due to its elaborately hand-carved stone statues and distinctive features. BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha opened online applications for the public to secure a visit to the temple last year, anticipating this tremendous response.

Residents of the UAE may attend if they have registered for the public opening on February 18. However, due to high demand from tourists from abroad keen to see the first traditional stone temple in the Middle East, those residents who have not yet registered are being asked to visit starting on March 1.

“Visitors from abroad are interested and have already signed up. Therefore, we are asking UAE citizens who have not yet registered to visit after March 1st, BAPS Hindu Mandir project leader Pujya Swami Brahmaviharidas stated.

It has been suggested that community members register via a dedicated website or the Festival of Harmony app to enter the temple starting on March 1.
