UAE likely to witness further drop in temperature

For the second day in a succession, around 7:00 am on Wednesday, Rakna in Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi UAE , recorded the lowest temperature of 7.6°C.

The weather on Thursday is predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to be partly cloudy with occasional cloudiness in some coastal, northern, and eastern areas. There is also a potential of showers and a drop in temperature. While the sea will have moderate waves in the morning but will occasionally become rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf compared to light to moderate waves in the Sea of Oman, moderate to active and sand-stirring northwesterly winds will blow, occasionally turning to strong offshore at 20 to 35 and up to 50 km/h.

Friday’s weather is predicted to be partly cloudy to gloomy at times, with a chance of light rain and a further drop in temperature in certain coastal and northern districts. There will be sand-stirring, moderate to strong northwesterly winds that can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h offshore. The Arabian Gulf will see extremely harsh to rough waves, while the Sea of Oman will see moderate to regular waves.
