UAE: Authorities reported on Saturday that a 9-year-old Arab girl who had gone missing and was determined to find her family was securely reunited with them in less than an hour after Ajman Police located her.

Head of the Al Madinah Comprehensive Police Station, Colonel Ghaith Khalifa Al Kaabi, said that the youngster was discovered on Friday night during a safety patrol in the Al Rashidiya neighborhood of Ajman during their regular security beat.

After calming the girl down, a social worker from the Social Support Center in Ajman arrived at the City Comprehensive Police Station to discuss her needs and talk with her, according to Al Kaabi.

He continued, saying, “The police were able to locate her family and notify them of the child’s presence at the station after 30 minutes of communication with the operations room. They were called to give them custody of the child. The child’s health and well-being were excellent.

To prevent such occurrences, Al Kaabi also urged families to “protect and monitor children, especially those of determination.”
