UAE Golden VISA: The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced that wealthy individuals interested in obtaining residency in the United Arab Emirates will have to pay an additional fee for applying for this visa. As per reports, the new fee changes will also include the benefits of authority, intelligent service, and electronic service fees.
Following the new changes, the ICP has advised all international applicants to verify their residence through the investment scheme and check their eligibility to obtain this visa through the website http://smartservicez.icp.gov.ae or the innovative application “UAEICP,” while following the additional requirements needed to complete the procedures.
According to VisaGuide.World, “Wealthy internationals interested in acquiring residency in the United Arab Emirates will have to pay an increased amount of money after the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) announced that the fees for applying for this kind of visa have been increased from AED 50 to AED 150.”
Additionally, the authorities in the United Arab Emirates have launched the UAE Golden Visa Program to boost the economic sector while providing residency for many international investors. Previously, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) of Dubai revealed that a total of 79,617 golden visas were issued by the UAE authorities last year. Through the Golden Visa scheme, foreign nationals can obtain long-term residency for approximately five to ten years.
A report provided by Alarabiya News confirms that investors and entrepreneurs in real estate and the public sector, as well as specialized talents, doctors, and scientists, are eligible to apply under the UAE Golden Visa Scheme of the UAE.
In an ongoing effort to bring more internationals to the country, the authorities have recently confirmed changes that apply to the Green Visa, which also offers approved programs to acquire residency for international applicants.
The Green Visa is a five-year self-sponsored visa issued to three categories: freelancers, skilled employees or self-employed persons, investors, or business partners. The Green Visa is similar to the UAE Golden Visa, although under the Residency by Investment scheme, the permit is six-month with multiple-entry ones.
