UAE donates 1.65 million winter clothing items to Gaza to help its people.

A humanitarian aid convoy headed for the Gaza Strip was launched by the UAE Red Crescent (ERC) as part of their winter campaign called “Be Their Warmth.”

To lessen the Palestinian people’s suffering, the convoy contained about 1.65 million blankets and articles of winter apparel.
Mohammed Omar Al Shimmari, the head of the ERC delegation in Gaza, emphasized the humanitarian catastrophe and the thousands of people who have been displaced while highlighting how the current conflict explicitly targets the Gaza Strip. The relief initiative, implemented gradually in coordination with humanitarian partners, intends to help individuals needing shelter as the temperature drops.
He stated that coordination with Egypt is underway to ensure aid delivery through the Rafah Border Crossing. These efforts are part of the UAE’s dedication to supporting Palestinians and other people globally during crises.

The ERC has launched donation channels for the “Be Their Warmth” campaign, urging public participation. Donation categories range from Dhs10 to Dhs300, targeting necessities like winter clothing, heating devices, food baskets, and health packages. Arrangements have been finalized to optimize efficiency and facilitate donations through multiple channels such as the website, bank deposits, smartphone apps, text messages, toll-free numbers, cash donation boxes, and representatives in about 175 locations nationwide, notably in shopping centers and markets.
