From Tuesday, June 27, to Sunday, July 2, the UAE will have a six-day weekend to mark the Islamic festival. With the Eid Al Adha holidays falling just before the summer holidays in the UAE, vacation time has come early for the students.
Moldovan resident in Dubai, Inga Steytler, has started her vacation early and left for her home country. She stated, “This is because the Eid holidays are falling just before summer vacations this year, so we are incredibly excited and looking forward to returning and seeing my parents. “
The mother of two said that early vacation would not affect her children’s education, ” as schools in the last week typically have year-end activities and teachers training sessions, so we thought why not to make the most of this week.”
Steytler is among thousands of residents in the UAE who are traveling by combining a part of summer vacation with the Eid Al Adha break.
Ukrainian national Churykova Iryna will be on holiday for over two months and stated that she would leave for the UK on the first day of Eid with her family.
Iryna added, ” My husband is from the UK, and we will be there for about two weeks; we will travel around Europe, and we will be back in the UAE just before the school reopens after the summer break.”
