LuLu Group International has dispatched a second consignment of relief goods for the beleaguered people of Gaza, where the humanitarian crisis is deteriorating.
According to the most recent data from UNRWA, as of February 3, up to 1.7 million displaced individuals lived throughout the Gaza Strip.
In a recent study, the World Health Organization emphasized “exacerbated challenges” in Gaza, including fuel shortages, food, clean water, and basic services.
The urgently required food supplies, toiletries, and other necessities comprised 50 tonnes of the help and relief packages. It was turned over to Egypt Red Crescent officials in Cairo on Monday.
Relief supplies were delivered to Dr. Rami El Nasser, CEO of the Egypt Red Crescent, by Hatim Said, marketing manager for LuLu Egypt, Juzer Rupawala, director of Lulu Egypt and Bahrain, Huzefa Qureshi, regional director, and other authorities.
Dr. El Nasser declared, “The Egypt Red Crescent will deliver the relief materials to the people of Gaza at the earliest.”
He praised the efforts of MA Yusuffali, the managing director and chairman of the LuLu Group, for his unwavering support of the Palestinian people, and he appreciated the helping hand from the Abu Dhabi-based company.
The LuLu Group also donated 50 tonnes of disaster supplies in December.
