The Dubai ride Fitness Challenge (DFC) event attracted over 35,000 riders of all ages and skill levels, who rode over 546,000 km in total, solidifying its title as the region’s largest community cycling event.
DP World’s fourth edition of the Dubai Ride featured a massive cycling track that was set up on the famous Sheikh Zayed Road on Sunday.
As part of the larger plan to make Dubai the world’s greatest place to live, work, and visit, Dubai Ride is in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to make the city one of the busiest in the world.
Dubai Ride was an inclusive, non-competitive event that gave people the chance to join together as a community, enjoy the thrill of cycling in a genuinely unique location, and move one step closer to reaching their 30X30 goals.
This year’s event featured two different routes—the 4 km Downtown family course and the 12 km Sheikh Zayed Road—that emphasized some of Dubai’s most well-known sites, such as the magnificent Burj Khalifa, the renowned Museum of the Future (MOTF), and the gorgeous Dubai Water Canal.
