The Dubai Police's "Every Drop Counts" Blood Donation Campaign has Over 100 Donors.

The Positive Spirit Council, the Dubai Police Health Center, and the Al Qusais Police Station, on behalf of the Dubai Police, recently joined forces with the Navi Sports Club to host the “Every Drop Counts” blood donation campaign.

The campaign involved 120 donors of various nationalities, aiming to encourage voluntary blood donation within the community. The Positive Spirit Council’s director, Fatima Buhajeer, emphasized the value of blood donation and the necessity of community involvement in this humanitarian endeavor. She noted the need to preserve public health and foster a culture of blood donation among the general public. Buhajeer emphasized the importance of strengthening community partnerships and life-saving humanitarian efforts.

“Officers, non-commissioned officers, civilians, and people from various backgrounds took part in the blood donation campaign, acknowledging it as a national obligation,” she said. This helps the givers and the underprivileged while fostering a culture of social solidarity, volunteerism, and the admirable humanitarian objectives of strengthening community partnerships.

The Positive Spirit volunteers gave insightful advice about the many health advantages of giving blood. These include boosting the immune system, encouraging bone marrow cells to become more active and effective, lowering blood pressure, relieving headaches, and boosting vitality and general wellbeing. Donating blood also increases antioxidant enzymes like “superoxide dismutase,” which helps eliminate oxidants and lessen oxidative stress.
