The Dubai Metro is recommended by the COP28 Presidency for quicker and more environmentally friendly travel.

Throughout the two-week meeting, which runs from November 30 to December 12, the COP28 Presidency strongly encourages all guests to use the Dubai Metro for quicker and more environmentally friendly transport.

The Red Line of the Dubai Metro runs from the city’s center to the entrance of Expo City Dubai, the site of COP28, and provides easy access to the airport, large hotels, and popular tourist destinations in the city.

For the benefit of the blind, tactile paving is installed in metro stations. Step-free paths and elevators are accessible at every stop to enable wheelchair accessibility. Additionally, all trains have designated seating areas and wheelchair places for those who need help.

Due to increased security measures, some roads close to Expo City Dubai will be restricted for the first three days of COP28. It’s also possible that there will be last-minute cancellations or modifications during the event, therefore everyone is advised to take the Dubai Metro.

Delegates and guests of the Blue and Green Zones can park if they are unable to use public transportation.

All parking lots will have regular shuttles that will make it only a short stroll from your car to the gate. The shuttle service will run frequently while the parking areas are open.
