The Honorable Ajman’s ruler, Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council, has issued two emiri decrees: No. (1) of 2024 designating Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Nuaimi as the organization’s chairman, and No. (15) of 2023 establishing the Ajman Centre for New Projects (Free Zone).
The decrees will be published in the Official Gazette and go into effect on the date of issuance.
Under Emiri Decree No. 15 of 2023, a free zone titled the Ajman Centre for New Projects will be formed in the emirate of Ajman.
Affiliated with the Ajman government, the Center will possess legal personality, financial and administrative autonomy, and the legal competence required to fulfill its mandate and carry out its responsibilities as delineated in the decree.
The emirate’s objectives are outlined in the decree: to strengthen the emirate’s standing as a top investment destination; to further its potential as a developed hub for international trade; to support the emirate’s sustainable economic growth and diversification by promoting financial and investment projects in all sectors; to draw in more foreign investment across a range of economic activities; and to establish an adaptable and favorable investment climate for imaginative and creative projects.
