Sheikh Omar Al Qasimi

Today, tragic news hit the UAE as the nation mourns the untimely loss of Sheikh Mohammed bin Omar bin Saqr Al Qasimi, declared by the Royal Court of Ras Al Khaimah.

Sheikh Mohammed was the son of H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the royal family of RAK and an incredibly prominent figure in the emirate, who has helped lead its economic development to new heights.

He has also acted as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of RAK Bank, RAK Airways, and RAK Capital, among the other viable positions. He has long served as an ambassador and face of the development of Ras Al Khaimah, who spoke with foreign celebrities and also served as a ringing in the successes of NASDAQ, Dubai.

However, very little information about his late son, Sheikh Mohammed Al Qasimi, exists online.

How to offer condolences:

The funeral will occur on Sunday, May 21, after the Al Dhuhr prayer, at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah.

The family will accept condolences from the Hospitality Council in Khuzam for three days.
