As only a few days of summer vacation remain, UAE residents are hurrying to make the most of it. Many hotels in the country have reported that they are fully booked this weekend, as this is the last one before the school reopens.

According to the website of the Rove Hotel, which is running a flashing summer sale with room rates starting from Dh99 per room per night, it is fully booked in six out of nine locations. Besides, many other hotels in the country are also reaching high occupancy rates, as they have great deals on offer as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which ends in September.

Emily Jenkins, Senior Manager of Product Development at DW Travel, said that ” the great advantage in staying locally in the UAE for a staycation is the concept of a ‘ luxury for less’ holiday, as you do not need to spend on flights and visas, increasing your budget for hotels and other activities.”

Many have proposed great discounts and deals from five-star resorts to neighborhood hotels throughout the summer to lure more customers.
