Sheikh Sultan Inaugurates Hanging Gardens in Kalba City, Which Have over 100,000 Trees.

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sharjah’s Supreme Council Member and Ruler, inaugurated the Hanging Gardens in Kalba, located on the Sharjah-Kalba Road, boasting over 100,000 trees.
Upon arriving, Sheikh Sultan announced the garden’s grand opening and led visitors to tour its various areas. The garden covers 1.6 million square feet and reaches a height of 281 metres above sea level. He examined the garden’s aesthetic aspects, including green spaces, terraces flowers, and waterfalls. He appreciated a musical performance by school pupils who expressed their love and gratitude.

Kalba residents also thanked Sheikh Sultan for supporting the area’s development programs. His Highness took commemorative photos with the youngsters and toured the garden’s central restaurant, which seats 215 people. The restaurant has a traditional semi-circular architectural shape and offers views of the gardens and waterfall.

Sheikh Sultan also went to the designated recreational areas for youngsters, which were divided into three divisions according to age. He carefully examined the mountain climbing paths with three varied difficulty levels, pointing out agricultural terraces, waterfalls, lush trees, and colorful flowers. His Highness Sheikh Sultan saw professional skiers’ performances in the designated arena, which measures 24,000 square feet and has three levels for children, beginners, and experts.
