Sheikh Sultan announces supplementary grant for 2,114 families starting January 2024

The Prince Sharjah’s ruler, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council, emphasized the importance of the role the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) plays in understanding the needs of society, supporting the government in making decisions, and helping to develop laws and procedures that aim to give citizens a decent life.

He made it clear how much he relied on the council’s findings, suggestions, and recommendations being implemented into official policies.

In the presence of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Ruler made this statement on Thursday during the opening of the first regular session of the 11th legislative chapter of the Sharjah Consultative Council at the council’s headquarters.

Sheikh Sultan talked about the important societal concerns and figures he is actively addressing with the Emirate’s specialized government agencies.

He mentioned that out of the 210,000 residents of the emirate of Sharjah, 36% are young people between the ages of 15 and 35, or 76,500 people. This category is the one that most needs government assistance with housing, work, and education.
