See Why Muslims Frequent This Mosque From All Over the United Arab Emirates?

Mosques throughout the United Arab Emirates will be packed with worshipers tomorrow night as they celebrate Laylat Al Qadr, the Islamic tradition’s cherished Night of Power and Destiny. Many believe it will take place on the 27th day of Ramadan. At the Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi Mosque in Sharjah’s Al Sahaba neighborhood, where a remarkable flood of worshippers is anticipated, anticipation is especially strong.

The turnout is so great that throngs overflow onto surrounding streets and pavements, forcing authorities to stop roads, reroute traffic, and even schedule special buses. The captivating voice leading the evening prayers—that of the well-known Quran reciter Abu Mohammad Salah bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Bukhatir—is the cause of this upsurge.

The CEO of the Bukhatir Group, Salah Bukhatir, started memorizing the Quran in college in the United States and finished it shortly after graduating. He became well-known for his soul-stirring recitations and was given significant roles in mosques around Saudi Arabia before leaving for the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Salah Bukhatir has led special prayers during the final ten days of Ramadan, known as Qiyam Al Layal, for the previous 28 years. Thousands of admirers have grown to love him for his melodic recitation, which has brought many to tears.

While the precise date of Laylat Al Qadr is still unknown, the prophet Mohammed said that it occurred on an odd-numbered night during the final ten nights of Ramadan. Prophet Muhammad revealed the first verses of the Quran on one of these nights.
