Ras Al Khaimah Police arrest nine People for Dangerous Driving During Heavy Rain.

Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Traffic and Patrols Department, in collaboration with the Public Services Department and Mina Al Arab, apprehended nine drivers for reckless driving in Mazra’ Al Bariyya and the Mina Al Arab project. They were punished following the Executive Council Resolution No. 2 of 2024.

Colonel Dr Mohammed Al Bahar, Director of the RAK Police Traffic and Patrols Department, stated that vehicle drivers showed off during the latest weather depression after a video clip of their irresponsible actions circulated on social media. He noted that three other vehicles were captured in Mina Al Arab.

Al Bahar stated that an investigation team was formed in coordination with the Department of Public Services and Mina Al Arab Project Management, where the team identified the vehicles participating in the show off and the identities of their drivers, who were fined Dhs2,000 each, with impounding the cars for 60 days and 23 traffic points, in addition to impounding the vehicle for 120 days and a fine of Dhs10,000 to release them, which is paid after the end of the impoundment period.
