In a peculiar incident on Sunday, two protesters at the Louvre Museum in Paris took an unusual stance by hurling soup at the bullet-proof glass safeguarding Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic “Mona Lisa.” Their protest aimed to demand the right to “healthy and sustainable food,” as reported by an AFP journalist.
This incident marks the latest in a series of attacks on the renowned masterpiece. Earlier in May 2022, an individual threw a custard pie at the painting, but its protective thick glass casing ensured that no harm came to the artwork.
