The President, His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has expressed his condolences on Wednesday’s passing of Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region.
The following obituary was published by the Presidential Court:
With hearts faithful to God’s decree and destiny, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns his uncle, Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, who passed away today,” the statement reads. “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”
The Presidential Court issued an official proclamation of seven days of half-mast mourning, beginning today (Wednesday), which is May 1. The courts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; and His Highness. Ras Al Khaimah’s ruler and a member of the Supreme Council, Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, expressed his sorrow over Sheikh Tahnoun’s departure in separate remarks today.
