We recently had the privilege of interviewing Baldeep Singh, Founder of Revent. Baldeep’s journey from being associated with various notable names in the e-commerce industry to being the founder of Revent is genuinely inspiring. In this candid interview, Baldeep delves deep into his career trajectory, the significant factors that inspired him to build his brand, the challenges faced in the industry, and his visions for the company.
Revent is grabbing special attention, as it is one of the foremost destinations for pre-owned electronic devices in the MENA region. As the Founder of Revent, Baldeep shares profound insights into the expansion of his business, his commitment to environmental sustainability, building trust in pre-owned electronics, and offers invaluable advice for aspiring entrepreneurs and industry veterans alike.
The Beginnings First
We started the interview by asking, “Which career path led you to where you are today?”
He reflects, “My career journey has primarily revolved around e-commerce and business leadership. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with renowned companies like Walmart, Rocket Internet, Snapdeal, and Noon.com, where I played pivotal roles in launching and scaling their businesses from the ground up. This journey has endowed me with extensive experience in strategy, operations, and business development.”
The Spark Behind Revent
We were curious to learn what inspired him to develop the brand. We asked, “What inspired you to develop the idea of your company?”
Baldeep responds passionately, “The inspiration for Revent stemmed from recognizing a significant two-fold gap in the market. Firstly, we observed a growing need in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for a trusted platform where people could confidently buy and sell pre-owned electronics. Secondly, the pressing environmental concerns related to electronic waste motivated us to craft a sustainable solution. Revent’s vision is to bridge the trust gap in the pre-owned electronics market while championing conscious and sustainable consumption.”
Evolving Priorities
Over the years of functioning in the industry, priorities evolve for a business. So, we asked, “How have your priorities in terms of business evolved since you first started?”
Baldeep replied, “While our primary focus has remained as establishing Revent as a trusted platform. As we’ve grown, and expanded to Saudi Arabia in addition to UAE, our priorities have shifted toward scaling operations, growing deep in the region, expanding our partnership base, and enhancing our technology to improve user and seller experiences. Besides that, sustainability and environmental impact have also become central to our mission.”
Adaptability in the Face of Challenges
Challenges are an inevitable part of any business. To learn how Baldeep’s brand overcomes the most challenging situations, we asked, “What are the most challenging situations that your company overcomes? What’s the key strength to overcome it?”

We’ve pioneered innovative technology like Truecheck for quality assessment, enabling us to guarantee the highest quality pre-owned electronics consistently delivered to customers and businesses. Our devotion to environmental responsibility and circular economy principles is another defining factor.
