Mubadala and Abu Dhabi start programs for people with disabilities

A strategic relationship between Mubadala and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) aims to promote diversity and accessibility while also advancing corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. With Mubadala’s backing, DMT’s dedication to environmental sustainability, community well-being, and most importantly, inclusivity for People of Determination is reflected and strengthened.

Dr. Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, Director General of Operational Affairs at the DMT, made the following statement about this significant relationship: “As we join forces with Mubadala, our partnership is more than a collaboration – it’s a shared commitment to elevate Abu Dhabi’s quality of life.” We see a time when our strategic alliance leads the way in promoting inclusivity, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.”

The Beach Accessibility Project is the first of them, and its goal is to make beaches more accessible to People of Determination. Sea elevators and guided track access to the water via the cutting-edge SEATRAC system will be introduced.

With its versatile and flexible installation style, SEATRAC provides easy access to seawater. It is intended to give those with mobility impairments the independence to enjoy the water on their own and the ability to move around the beach area on their own.
