Mohammed announces Expo City Dubai to be a free zone completely powered by clean, renewable energy

GulfNews

The Honorable The vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, unveiled a new plan for Expo City Dubai that calls for it to be entirely run on clean, renewable energy.

“Ten years ago, the world entrusted Dubai and the UAE with the profound responsibility of bringing the world together at Expo 2020,” Sheikh Mohammed stated on X. Ever since, we have persisted in uniting our thoughts to build a brighter future for everybody.

At Expo City Dubai, world leaders and international organizations assemble once more for COP28, an event with high environmental goals. With pride, we now present our vision for this city, which centers on sustainability as its primary tenet, serves as a hub for meaningful collaborations and businesses specializing in sustainability, and serves as a launchpad for projects aimed at protecting and conserving the environment.

Expo City Dubai is a clean and renewable energy free zone that attracts innovators, entrepreneurs, start-ups, institutes, and creative minds committed to promoting the sustainability of the environment.
