Dubai: The Honourable The President of Chile, His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font, met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday at Al Shindagha Majlis.
The two leaders of the meeting talked about how to improve trade, investment, and economic ties between the UAE and Chile in order to further both countries’ sustainable development objectives and the interests of their respective populations.
According to Sheikh Mohammed, the signing of memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements, such as the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), during the visit of the president of Chile to the United Arab Emirates heralds the start of a new and promising chapter in bilateral relations.
Sheikh Mohammed continued, pointing out that because of their advantageous locations as entry points to nearby regional markets, both nations will be able to take advantage of increased trade and investment flows as well as commercial opportunities.
Ministers of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Omar Sultan Al Olama, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, and Dubai Department of Tourism and Economy Director General Helal Saeed Al Marri also attended the meeting.
