The Advent of Taqua’s Journey

We started the session by asking, “Could you start by telling us about your professional career path?”

Taqua Malik

Taqua Malik responded, “My career trajectory has led me through an unexpected journey. Hailing from the Middle East, I ventured into the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences, a domain I pursued with passion. However, fate led me to a different avenue, where I spent over a decade working in the legal industry in Dubai. These diverse experiences have profoundly influenced my current reality, affording me exposure to a myriad of environments, industries, mindsets, and cultures.”

Adaptability Amidst Adversities

To learn how Taqua Malik overcomes adverse situations in her business, we asked, “What have been the most significant barriers you’ve overcome, and how have these challenges influenced your leadership philosophy?”

Taqua Malik replied, “I’ve navigated numerous challenges, but perhaps none as profound as breaking out of my introverted nature. Stepping beyond my comfort zone was daunting; engaging in discussions with strangers, and participating in large gatherings felt like climbing a mountain. However, I soon discovered that the greatest rewards often lie beyond our comfort zones.

Another hurdle I faced was communicating across various cultures who may have a preconceived notion when engaging with Middle Eastern business settings. It required patience and understanding to navigate differing perceptions and expectations. Yet, through these interactions, I’ve come to recognize that while individuals may bring diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and expectations to the table, there are inherent qualities that unite us as members of the human race. These shared traits are the foundation for meaningful communication and the cultivation of lasting connections.”

Encouraging Innovative Approaches

Fostering an innovative approach within the team is paramount for the success of a business. To learn how Taqua Malik ensures the same, we asked, “How do you foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within your organization?”
