According to medical authorities and eyewitnesses, Israeli attacks in Gaza City on Sunday resulted in at least 86 Palestinian deaths and 131 injuries for the previous 24 hours.
According to the territory’s health ministry, jets struck a residential structure in Gaza City’s Zaytoun neighborhood on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of fifteen people—including children—and multiple injuries.
As the Israeli government moves on with plans for an attack on Rafah and negotiators attempt to iron out a ceasefire and hostage-release agreement, the death toll in Gaza is expected to surpass the terrible milestone of 30,000 this week.
According to Palestinian health authorities, Israel has not stopped its assault on the Gaza Strip, resulting in at least 29,692 Palestinian deaths—mainly in the form of women and children—and 69,879 injuries since October 7.
Since February 20, the Israeli army has been conducting operations in the neighborhood, targeting Hamas movement infrastructure, according to Israel’s state-owned Kan TV news. Ten Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on the beachfront route west of Gaza City that same day.
