Mayank Yadav, the pace sensation, walked off the field during the Lucknow Super Giants’ 33-run victory over Gujarat Titans on Sunday. However, all-rounder Krunal Pandya stated that Yadav ‘ seemed good’.
Yadav, who usually hits 150 kmph, appeared uncomfortable in the one over he bowled against the Titans before leaving the field after two straight man-of-the-match performances. We were relieved that he seemed fine during our little conversation, even if I do no know what is happening.” ESPNCricinfo cited Krunal as stating.
Krunal also lauded the 21-year-old pacer, describing him as a “bright prospect” with a “good head on his shoulders.”
I had been observing him for the past two years; he seemed like a promising prospect. He bowled gun in the nets before. Sadly, I could not attend it last year (due to an ailment). However, he also seems to have a sound head on his shoulders based on our conversations,” he continued.
Yadav’s lightning-fast pace and flawless command of his line and length have made headlines worldwide.
The speedster joined the Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, however he did not play in a single game that season and missed the championship the previous year due to a strained hamstring.
