The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) at Cochin Airport in Kerala recovered over 900 grams of gold from a traveler arriving from Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. Customs officers said the gold was in compound form and weighed 954 grams.
Three white capsule-shaped packages suspected of containing gold in compound form were stashed within his body.
AIU officials intercepted the passenger at the exit gate based on profiling.
After examining the passenger, three white capsule-shaped packets suspected of containing gold in compound form were discovered and seized. This topic is now being investigated further.
