India: Kerala reports 300 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 deaths.

Kerala’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India announced on December 20 that 300 new COVID-19 cases were active and 3 deaths.

There were 2,669 current COVID-19 cases nationwide as of this writing.
In response to growing worries over the new coronavirus strain, a Kerala-based medical professional stated on Wednesday that although the disease’s incidence has decreased, COVID is still an infectious illness that cannot be eradicated.

“Covid cannot be eradicated, just like any other infectious disease. But the disease’s impact has lessened, and the mortality rate—that is, the proportion of patients who died from the illness—has decreased from its previous level. According to Dr. Sreejith N. Kumar, ANI said it is acting like any other ordinary cold or influenza.

In the meantime, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, presided over a high-level meeting on Wednesday to discuss the state of COVID-19 in India as well as the public health system’s readiness for monitoring, controlling, and managing the disease in light of the recent surge in cases in certain states.
Throughout the discussion, Mandaviya emphasized the significance of staying vigilant and ready to combat novel and developing Covid-19 virus strains.
