In England, Four Men of Indian Descent were Found Guilty of Killing a Delivery Driver.

Thursday saw the conviction of four men in their 20s of Indian descent for the murder of a delivery man, also 23 years old, who was attacked in Shrewsbury, Western England.

When the West Mercia Police in the region responded to complaints of an attack in the city’s Berwick Avenue neighborhood in August of last year, Aurman Singh was pronounced dead at the scene. Four individuals were then taken into custody on suspicion of murder.

Charges for Singh’s murder were brought against Arshdeep Singh, 24, Jagdeep Singh, 22, Shivdeep Singh, 26, and Manjot Singh, 24, who were carrying axes, hockey sticks, and shovels.

Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Mark Bellamy of West Marcia Police, who oversaw the investigation, stated, “The attack on Aurman Singh was planned and organized by a group of men who armed themselves with weapons and used a level of violence that can only suggest they intended to kill him.”

They picked a spot where they knew he would be and waited there using insider knowledge before carrying out the vicious attack during the day, he claimed.

Following a six-week trial at Stafford Crown Court last week, all four men denied murder, but a jury found them all guilty anyway. Sukhmandeep Singh, a 23-year-old Indian man who was allegedly “the inside man” and transmitted information regarding Aurman’s delivery on the day he was killed, was convicted of manslaughter. He was the fifth man of Indian descent to be found guilty.
