According to Economy Minister Faisal Alibrahim on Thursday, Saudi Arabia will host a special World Economic Forum (WEF) conference in April to raise awareness of the kingdom and its capital, Riyadh, worldwide.
The meeting, set for April 28–29, will centre on global cooperation, growth, and energy, according to Alibrahim, who announced it in Davos, Switzerland, the site of the World Economic Forum’s major annual gathering.
He stated that this will help Riyadh develop into a more international platform, adding that the Saudi government and the WEF have been discussing hosting such an event for some time.
The president of the World Economic Forum, Borge Brende, reported that the Forum had discussed hosting a meeting in the kingdom with cabinet ministers and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.”We have not resumed any meetings post-Covid outside winter Davos and summer Davos so that we will have our first meeting outside Davos in Riyadh this spring,” he stated.
