During an open house session hosted by the Indian Embassy Abu Dhabi and IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi on Saturday, approximately 500 students and parents answered questions about eligibility, faculty, fees, scholarships, and other topics.
The session, led by faculty from the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-Delhi), addressed IIT aspirants’ questions about the much-anticipated admissions process for undergraduate courses this academic year. The first group of students will be admitted in August or September.
Following high demand for participation in the open house, a second session was scheduled, which received an overwhelming response from aspirants.
India’s premier technical and research institute will offer four-year bachelor’s degrees in computer science and engineering, as well as energy engineering, at its overseas campus. All of the faculty members come from IIT-Delhi or other top institutions.
The application process for the academic year 2024-25 is currently underway. Admissions will be made using two methods: the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2024 and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE – Advanced) 2024.
During the open house, faculty members answered questions about eligibility criteria, campus, fees, scholarships, and exam schedules, among others.
CAET is a pen-and-paper entrance examination in which responses must be marked on the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet provided to the candidate. The entrance test will include three 90-minute question papers on physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
