How UAE citizens can participate in this year's COP28

How UAE citizens Over 70,000 delegates, including heads of state, civic and international leaders, environmental experts, and advocates, will be in the UAE in the coming weeks for COP28, the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be held at Expo City Dubai from November 30 to December 12.

Examining national reports and emission inventories that participating nations have provided is the main task at hand. Participants will discuss and come to an agreement on climate action. The objective of keeping the average global temperature below 1.5°C in order to significantly lessen the effects of climate change will be reviewed.

The world’s highest decision-making body for climate-related matters is called COP. On the other hand, climate change is an urgent worldwide issue that cuts beyond national borders. This means that in order to provide real and workable solutions, there must be global cooperation and coordinated efforts from all parties involved, including the government, businesses, civil society, and all other economic sectors.

This year’s most important climate meeting, COP28 UAE, is essentially open to everyone. Here’s an explanation on how to participate.
