In the emirate’s commercial and industrial revival, one of the business sector pioneers in Dubai has passed away. Hassan Mohammed Bin Al Sheikh, who held the position of Second Vice-Chair of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1983 to 1997, was the organization’s Chairman from 1997 to 2000. The life of Hassan Bin Al Sheikh served as a testament to generosity and support for Dubai’s commercial community and economic progress.
Following his death, many government officials, prominent businesspeople, and individuals acquainted with him during his devoted and tenacious career paid tribute to his outstanding contributions to the Chamber and many economic sectors.
In 1959, Hassan Bin Al Sheikh Industries Group (HBAS) was established by Bin Al Sheikh in Dubai. It soon expanded to become a collection of prosperous industrial businesses operating in many industries. In addition to producing paper, plastics, sanitary ware, food products, and real estate, the group also engages in general commerce.
