RIYADH: France’s President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met on Wednesday.
The two discussed bilateral ties between France and the Kingdom during their encounter.
Prince Khalid wrote on social media, “I met with Emmanuel Macron upon the directives of HRH the Crown Prince.” “I had the privilege of delivering the Prime Minister’s and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ greetings. We also discussed our two-way relationship.
High-ranking officials from France and Saudi Arabia attended the meeting.
The French minister of the armed forces, Sébastien Lecornu, accompanied Prince Khalid on a tour of the frigate Chevalier Paul earlier.
“I had the chance to observe a Rafale aircraft air defense practice. I looked into the frigate’s cutting-edge technology, equipment, and defense capabilities,” he wrote on X.
