Flydubai Has Arrangements to Add Seven More Aircraft to its Fleet by 2024

Flydubai declared that it plans to hire over 130 new pilots by the end of this year and that it will receive seven aircraft by the end of 2024.
The airline said in a statement on Tuesday that Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius will now be part of the network, which will be further supported by the new aircraft.

Today, flydubai has grown its workforce to more than 5,800 skilled professionals represented by 140 nationalities, more than 1,200 pilots,” stated Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai. By the end of the year, we plan to have hired over 130 new pilots.

Al Ghaith stated that the airline had more than 440 workers this year, a 6% increase from the previous one. According to him, there is a continuous recruitment drive to bolster the team with more talented and qualified employees and foster business expansion.

With its base in Dubai, flydubai has expanded to over 125 destinations in 58 countries, all of which are served by a modern, effective fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, according to Al Ghaith.

He emphasised Flydubai’s continued ability to attract young Emirati talent and its dedication to hiring locals and advancing Emiratization initiatives by assigning them to appropriate positions in a range of corporate divisions. At the Dubai Airshow in 2023, flydubai placed a historic order for 30 Boeing 787-9s, its first-ever wide-body aircraft.
