Five Types of Visa Holders are Permitted to Remain in the United Arab Emirates After their Visas Expire.

As to the revised visa system released by the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationalization, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), up to five visa holders can remain in the United Arab Emirates for a duration of six months following the expiration or revocation of their visa.

The five categories are as follows: individuals with skilled professions in the first and second tiers of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization’s classification; holders of golden visas and their families; holders of green visas and their families; the widow or divorcee of a foreign resident; students whose studies have ended and who are sponsored by a national university or college; and citizens.

It stated that it has extended the 30-day limit on visa holders’ stays in the UAE to 60 days for those with a host or guarantor. Residents, domestic helpers, family members, and other visa holders with a host or guarantor fall under this category.

Visa holders from countries affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts, foreign retirees, virtual employers, and investors or partners are permitted to stay in the nation for 30 days following the expiration or revocation of their visa.
