Employees of the UAE Federal Government Will Celebrate Eid Al Fitr for Nine Days.

The federal government’s Eid Al-Fitr holidays will begin on Monday, April 8, and run for one week, ending on Sunday, April 14, per the directive of the UAE Council of Ministers.

“The UAE Cabinet announced that the federal government sector will observe the Eid Al Fitr holiday for a week beginning on Monday, April 8, 2024,” the Council added. Monday, April 20,24, would then be the return of regular business hours. A circular about the Eid Al Fitr holiday has been sent to all federal enterprises by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.”

According to the International Astronomical Center, some nations that observed the start of Ramadan on Monday, March 11, anticipate seeing a crescent on Monday, April 8. The moon sets before the sun, thus the conjunction happens after dusk, which could make this observation ambiguous.

On Tuesday, April 9, nations that observed Ramadan on Tuesday, March 12, anticipate seeing the moon crescent. According to the International Astronomical Center, a sighting is feasible on that day. Thus, on April 10, the institute anticipates that nations will declare Eid Al Fitr.
