During his meeting with Filipino community leaders on Saturday, newly appointed Philippine consul-general Marford M. Angeles vowed to lead with transparency, honesty, and a solution-based approach.
Prior to relocating to Dubai this month, Angeles, 49, worked as the consul-general and deputy head of mission at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi from October 2019.
Speaking to the media and representatives of many Filipino organizations during a town hall meeting, Angeles stated he is aware of his duties as the director of the consulate that serves roughly 650,000 Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (DNE).
He will be leading a team of 49 people, including himself, at the consulate. He noted DNE is the biggest and one of the busiest Philippine missions.
