Dubai may soon see the use of an air taxi modeled after NASA’s “Ingenuity” helicopter, now in operation on Mars, to carry people and goods.
This is thanks to an Austrian company already working with the UAE government.
Authorities worldwide are concerned about megacities’ traffic collapse, leading to enormous economic loss. Therefore, FlyNow aviation will be operational and commercial in 28 months.
“The most efficient configuration and infrastructure footprint that’s ever been built in this space,” according to the developers, is how they describe it.
According to FlyNow Aviation CEO and co-founder Yvonne Venter, we have single and twin-seaters. We’ll commence the cargo version’s series production in 28 months. Therefore, the freight version will be available before the passenger version is produced.
The eVTOL can assist people in traveling in comfort and style. It has a cruise speed of 130 mph and sounds like a dishwasher.
Up to 200 kg can be carried by the cargo version, which is in line with typical logistical dimensions. Its operating principle is similar to that of NASA’s “Ingenuity” Mars helicopter,” she continued.
This eVTOL’s highly efficient rotor design allows it to fly in far less dense atmospheres than Earth’s, producing plenty of lift and control and making it perfect for operations in high elevations
