A Dubai school student has created an application to assuage parents’ concerns, allowing them to track if their children have entered the school grounds or elected to skip school.
The software also encourages punctuality and student safety at school, improves operational efficiency, facilitates parental involvement, and streamlines administrative operations.
Developed by Saad Muhammad Safeer, a senior school student at DPS Dubai, this app intends to facilitate transparent communication between the school and the parent community by delivering real-time information on student attendance.
He said, “There are seven RFID terminals (scanners) spanning three gates for kids’ entry/exit. Every time a kid enters the school, including kindergarteners, they must scan their RFIDs in the scanner machines. As a result, every time our students scan the RFID, our school creates a database that functions similarly to a table, indicating which terminal the student punched and at what time.
