At Khaleej Times, Bangladeshi expat Harun Miah will always be regarded as a “humble colleague who was always ready to help”. After thirty years of service to the company, he passed away on June 2 while sleeping. He was fifty-eight.
Harun, who began working for Khaleej Times in 1993, was just recently recognized for his commitment, hard work, and loyalty. When he died, he was in his hometown of Chittagong on his yearly leave.
He was thinking about KT even the night before he passed away. Tajul Islam, 27, one of Harun’s sons who currently works in the news organization’s commercial division, said, “My mother said he was sharing memories and his experiences at Khaleej Times that night.”
Before getting a job as a driver, Harun worked for the company as a cleaner. He eventually received a promotion and was assigned to the machine servicing division of the production department.
His coworkers were shocked to learn of his passing because they had anticipated his return on June 20.
Production head at Khaleej Times Murad Chilwan recalled Harun as that teammate who was “always eager to help everyone”.
