Dates for the Hajj and Eid Al Adha in 2024 are Announced by Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has formally announced that the hajj pilgrimage will begin on June 14, which also happens to be the first day of the holy month of Dhu al-Hijjah. The crescent moon sighting on Thursday night, which marks the beginning of this important time in the Islamic calendar, was confirmed by the Supreme Court. Dhu al-Hijjah will begin on Friday, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Hajj will begin on June 14 and be followed by Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha celebrations on June 15 and June 16, respectively. The Supreme Court emphasized the significance of this yearly tradition and urged Muslims in the kingdom to take part in the moon sighting. A committed group was established to guarantee precise tracking of the waning crescent moon.
