After a four-year break, British Airways has started operating again between London and Abu Dhabi.
The UK-based airline announced that daily flights will be available throughout the year from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi’s recently opened Zayed International Airport.
British Airways Chief Customer Officer Calum Laming stated, “The new daily flight connects Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow and beyond, providing our customers with another amazing destination within our expansive global network and further growing our connections with the UAE.” The aircraft will have four cabins to choose from.
As of February 22, 2024, UAE nationals no longer need a pre-entry visa to enter the UK. Instead, the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system has been implemented. Applications can be submitted using the ETA mobile application or the UK government’s official website.
Applications for electronic travel authorization can be made for various reasons, including short-term study abroad, investing, tourism, and visiting family and friends. Each trip’s stay should be no longer than six months.
I am honored to return to the beautiful city and Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where I had the good fortune to live for almost ten years,” Laming remarked.
