Authorities in Saudi Arabia warn of thunderstorms and hail till Tuesday

Authorities in Saudi Arabia  thunderstorm warning for much of the Kingdom until Tuesday, Saudi officials requested treatment, according to a report released on Thursday by the official news agency SPA.

People were advised to seek shelter away from flood-prone regions and to avoid swimming in them by the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

It was further said in the message that individuals should monitor social media and local media for updates.

There will be moderate to heavy downpours in the Makkah area, which might result in hail, torrential rain, and high winds that could cause dust storms.

Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Al-Jamoum, Al-Kamil, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Maysan, Al-Khurmah, Tarbah, Raniyah, Al-Muwayh, Bahrah, Rabigh, Khulais, Al-Laith, and Al-Qunfudhah are probably the areas that would be affected.

Together with the capital, the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, and Al-Qassim are also anticipated to be impacted. The Riyadh region also includes the following: Thadiq, Shaqra, Murat, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Kharj, Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Hariq, Al-Quwayiyah, Afif, and Al-Aflaj.
