As the Dead Toll Approaches 30,000, Gazans Calculate the Price of War.

Iman Mussallam, a Palestinian teacher, says she finds it difficult to accept that, after nearly five months of fighting between Israel and Hamas, the dead toll from the Gaza war is getting close to 30,000.

However, the displaced Gaza woman claims she is positive “the real number is greater than that” because many people are still trapped beneath the debris of the destroyed buildings.

We have no idea how many people will die as a result of this conflict,” the 30-year-old continued. He is seeking safety at a packed UN shelter in the far-southern Gaza city of Rafah.

The 2.4 million Palestinians living there have witnessed a plethora of horrors as a result of the worst Gaza war in history. The number of casualties is far more significant than all four of the previous Gaza conflicts put together.

A grieving farmer revealed that he had to bury his three brothers and their five children in a citrus orchard since cemeteries are filled and body bags are in little supply.
