On Tuesday, Joko Widodo, the president of the Republic of Indonesia, began a two-day state visit in the United Arab Emirates.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Joko Widodo, and the accompanying delegation were greeted warmly by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi.
Alongside the Indonesian President, Suhail Bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Head of the Honorary Mission, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia were also present to greet him.
Several UAE Airforce jets met the President Widodo-carrying aircraft as it entered UAE airspace as a mark of respect for the esteemed guest. The squadron leader greeted him warmly at the Presidential Airport, where he had asked His Excellency for permission to go with him. The United Arab Emirates was his second home.
