An Organization in the UAE Rehabilitates Palestinians with Dis abilities

The second phase of care and rehabilitation for People of determination and injured Palestinians who were transferred to the UAE for treatment has been finished by Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) in partnership with the Emirates Humanitarian City.

The goal of this initiative is to treat 1,000 Gaza Strip cancer patients and 1,000 injured children in UAE hospitals, as per President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives.

ZHO offers a range of services, such as assessment and rehabilitation, wheelchair fittings, medical braces, prosthetic limbs, and hearing aids.

The work of ZHO, according to its Secretary-General Abdullah Al Humaidan, is a component of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to lessen the suffering of Gaza’s civilian population as a result of the growing humanitarian crisis, which primarily affects women, children, and the elderly.

Through its integrated central workshop for orthopedics and prosthetic limbs, the organization has supplied the tools required for rehabilitation and the support required for fitting medical braces and prosthetic limbs.

Al Humaidan continued, “In addition to making prosthetic limbs, the organization offers physical therapy, instruction on how to use prosthetic limbs, psychological support, and the necessary rehabilitation for people to adjust to the daily.
