Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, has announced new initiatives to renovate the city and improve the inhabitants’ quality of life.
The Ajman 2030 program calls for developing open spaces, public beaches, rural areas, community and tourism areas, improved transportation infrastructure, and a Dh1 billion commercial port.
The goal is to boost involvement in culture, art, and sports in the emirate by 400% and the number of public beaches by 300% by 2030.
It will be headed by the Ajman Executive Council in collaboration with the government, the private sector, and local residents.
“At the heart of Ajman 2030 is a determined commitment to prioritizing our people’s needs and aspirations,” Sheikh Ammar stated on Thursday.
“We want to promote a happy, confident, and inclusive society in a flourishing urban environment that has been redesigned around those who live there.
“No government can accomplish this in isolation. To establish and secure our future, we must work collaboratively with our community and other stakeholders.
One project is the creation of the Ajman heart district in the Al Safia neighborhood, where residents can participate in outdoor activities such as sports and picnics. Another plan calls for a Dh1 billion commercial port in the Al Zora area.
